So a couple of weeks ago Glyn was lucky enough to nip across the Atlantic ocean and have a whirlwind visit to the USA. The purpose of this trip was to visit what the Americans call centres for the book. His visit began in the Big Apple where he visited the New York Centre for Book Arts and the very fancy Grolier Club.
Next Stop was Minneapolis here Glyn visited the Minnesota Center for Book Arts which Glyn described as being absolutely wonderful. The whole center is designed like a book with even the doors opening and closing like a book. It also has a very impressive staircase which again is based on book design (see pictures below).
The final leg of his journey took him to Chicago where he visited Chicago’s Center for Book Arts and Paper.
