This ivory-bound bible is a little gem from 1865, carved with a sacred monogram – a combination of letters which forms an abbreviation for the name of Jesus Christ. The ivory engraving on the front is rather impressive, and the gold leafing on the edge of the pages adds a touch of class to the book.
